AOA is hosting free Try Orienteering for All Sport One City in Calgary

February 14, 2024, Edworthy Park, Calgary at 4 pm and 5 pm start

Lace-up those boots and join us for Winter Walk Day

Meet us at the south side of the pedestrian bridge (walk across from Angel's Caffe).

The event will be canceled if the temperature drops below -15 C.


What to expect at a local event?

  • You will receive a short instruction.
  • You can try a couple of learning activities
  • You will get a map and head out for a self-lead mapwalk to try a beginner orienteering course. All of this would take around 1 hour.

Why should you try orienteering ?

  • Engages the mind & body with emphasis on fun.
  • Builds competence and confidence to be outside
  • Teaches navigation and map reading skills.
  • Helps you connect with nature
  • Gets you moving, outdoors, with plenty of smiles all round.
