- Long
- Middle
- Location: Sandy MacNabb, ( Group Campground B) a breathtaking venue with stunning forest views and a newly updated map.
- Dates: August 24-25, 2024. Join us for one or both days of the event.
- Courses for Everyone: from beginners to advanced orienteers, there's something for everyone, even for small groups to head out together. Great terrain, beautiful views, and world-class courses.
- RETRO EVENT: let's have some nostalgic fun. Wear your best 70s and 80s orienteering kits and headbands to revive the old spirit of orienteering.
- Awards and Championships: special awards and a memorable medal crafted specifically for this event. Compete in the long and middle courses to vie for the overall champion title. Just as in the historical way of combining both days' results to name the champion, you must attend both events (Long and Middle) for the awards.
- AOA BBQ: enjoy a Saturday smokies BBQ sponsored by AOA.
- Optional Camping: make it a full weekend experience with our group camping option.
- Bear spray is recommended for all 3 events this weekend. The course setter has not seen evidence of bear activity (up to August 2).
- Fences: If you have to cross a fence, do not climb the fenceposts or step on the barbed wire. Please carefully squeeze yourself between the barbed wire, or roll under the wire.
- Gates: You will likely have to go through gate(s). Please close them after you go through.
- Cattle: There are many cattle grazing in the area of the Long event. Give them plenty of distance between you and them.
