A beautiful natural reserve featuring winding trails and "green" forest and the biggest beaver dams– perfect for a true outdoor navigation challenge!

Registration: on-site from 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M. (beginner clinics available at 11am )
Starts: 11:00 A.M. until 1:00 P.M.

Location: 3 km south of Morningside, at the JJ Collete Natural area, near Red Deer.

We will have courses for every level of adventurer:

  • Beginner-friendly routes (with clinics starting at 11:00 A.M.)
  • Intermediate options
  • Advanced technical courses

Whether you’re a first-time explorer learning the basics of map and compass or a seasoned orienteer ready to test your skills on challenging terrain, there’s a course waiting for you.

Come navigate the trails, breathe the fresh forest air, and experience the thrill of orienteering in one of central Alberta’s hidden natural gems. No previous experience needed – just a sense of adventure! Bring your family, friends, or come solo. Everyone is welcome to join this trail-blazing day in the woods.
